Subject:~locked to Pansy~
Time:10:54 pm.
Mood: giddy.
Patrick had gotten the second owl from Pansy not too long after he'd sent her a reply, but stopped himself from responding to it for fear that someone would notice. Too many owls so close together could get rumors started, after all.

Instead he simply tried to get through all his classes without grinning too much, checking the clock and wishing it would move faster. When eight o'clock did roll around he was fast on the way toward the dungeons, nervously smoothing his hands down his shirt, still trying to keep the grin at bay. To his surprise he met no one on the way, glad not to have to come up for a reason for him being in that part of the school at that time.

Slipping into dungeon four, the Hufflepuff took a quick look about, spotting Pansy easily. The grin finally broke over his face and he moved toward her, shoving his hands into the pockets of his corduroys. She looked even better than he remembered, and a small blush tinted his cheeks.

"Hey there..." He said, glancing down. "You look really pretty tonight...beautiful.."

Time:10:07 am.
Mood: happy.
As usual, Patrick woke late, barely in time to get ready for the day and maybe grab a quick bite to eat. He was alone in the dorm when the owl came, giving him a start. But surprise turned to excitement when he saw what it was, then took the unsealed letter from it. In the short time it took him to read it a grin had formed on his face, and he went for a quill and parchment of his own to reply.

Mood: happy.
Patrick was in a far better mood than he had been in so far this school year, and he wanted nothing more than to tell somebody why. But he'd promised Pansy that he wouldn't say a word to anyone about it. For the moment he was sprawled out on his bed in the seventh year Hufflepuff boys dorm, textbooks spread in front of him but largely ignored.

Perhaps if he didn't mention who it was that he was grinning about he could talk about it. That way he could keep his promise and still get it out. That decided, Patrick waited for his friend to come back, flipping through his Charms text with an idiotic grin on his face.

Time:1:42 pm.
Mood:busy.
The little run in with the Slytherin during the beginning of the weekend had thrown Patrick off a bit. Perhaps it would have been better had it not been so absolutely random. But it was a nice gesture, he supposed, though he wouldn't go out of his way to say hello to Malcolm in the halls should they pass each other.

Like he had known would happen, it was Sunday, and everything he had put off for the past two days was now needing finished. The Hufflepuff had sequestered himself amidst a small mountain of schoolwork in the library, scribbling down notes from the books he had opened on the table in front of him.

He was trying to ignore the other students moving around about him, but it was hard to concentrate just knowing they were there. With a small sigh Patrick rested his forehead in his palm, staring at his parchment.

Mood: relaxed.
Patrick couldn't have been more relieved that it was the weekend. That meant at least two whole days of not having to really worry about homework. That was reserved for Sunday, when he would regret not having worked on it either Friday or Saturday.

With so much free time on his hands the boy decided to head to one of the many little courtyards hidden about the castle and relax, maybe flip though one of the muggle comic books his mother had sent him.

Dropping his book bag on the grass, the Hufflepuff joined it, sprawling there to look up at the sky and let his mind wander where it would, ignoring the soft sound of students moving through the nearby halls.
